Fresh Breeze

A small game about your home in a lighthouse. Where you have to help ships to get money so you can buy nice furniture to make your home cozy.

The game was developed for the  GameJam of SonderingEmily and Juliestrator.
Sadly the project didn't reach a very playable state in the given time.

The Gameplay

You work at the Lighthouse helping ships out on the sea. Over time (after few minutes, no time for balancing) ships will spawn and when you click on them you get coins rewarded. 

The coins can then be spend on furniture in the shop (lower right button).

Pressing the button above the shop will switch the Camera to an inside view where you can admire your cozy home with all the new furniture.

The Idea

My Idea was initially to have a night day cycle while at night you help ships on the see by shining the light of the lighthouse at them (clicking on them) and by day you have time to design the interior of your new home.

It was planned to upgrade the lighthouse itself with higher tiers spawning bigger ships that gave more money but after already modelling the 4 stages this idea had to be scrapped due to time constraints.

For the boats I have to give a shoutout to a friend of mine who helped me in my time crunch and designed a beautiful ship that I could then easy modify for 2 additional variants.

The Future

I was really inspired by the theme and really enjoyed digging into a project again. If I find some more time I will probably further develop this idea, implementing the original vision of the project.
